Olim B'Chagim Matching Meals Campaign

Home hospitality on Shabbatot and Chagim is a big game-changer for new Russian speaking Olim in their 20's and 30"s in Israel. Most do not have family here and cannot look forward to "going home" for the holidays.  But through celebrating with peers in our communal  holiday dinners or in local "Shabbat/Holiday Host" families, they experience Jewish depth and joy, forge new relationships, and strengthen their sense of belonging in Israel. Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli has been bringing young Russian-speaking Olim together via weekly meaningful and empowering Jewish and Zionist activities for 16 years. Through this special Matching Campaign, please help us ensure that no lone Oleh will be alone this Rosh Hashana, or during Shabbat and the holidays throughout the year.  Our Shabbat and holiday meals include traditional foods, wine, our exclusive, original artwork Russian-Hebrew songbook, beautiful Shishi Shabbat Yisraeli challah cover and the warmest family atmosphere that helps each participant know they have come home! 120 nis / $40 sponsors one Olim holiday/Shabbat meal. 360 nis/ $120 sponsors 3 olim holiday/Shabbat meal Nis 3600 / $1200 sponsors a communal meal for 30 young Olim in Jerusalem, Beersheva, Tel Aviv, Haifa or Bat Yam.
