Run for their Fun

The Sunrise Israel Association, established in 2010, operates the only day camps in Israel dedicated to all Israeli children battling cancer and their healthy siblings as equal participants. Serving an exceptionally wide age range of 3.5 to 17 in all languages, the camps provide door-to-door transportation every single day, close medical supervision, and all at absolutely no cost! This is the place where pain, fear, and loneliness are replaced by laughter, joy, a sense of family, and hope for recovery and a return to a normal routine. Sunrise brings back the joy of childhood to children with cancer in Israel and stands by their side to hold their hand even during hospital stays, through weekly leisure and social programs year-round, as well as additional activities in the community and at the families' homes. Sunrise Israel reaches over 1,000 sick children and their siblings every year, creating a stable and meaningful anchor for them and their families in the midst of a difficult and complex period. It continually enables them to set aside their traumas and fears, build and strengthen their resilience, and spend quality family time together—providing a vital component in their healing process. We are proud to launch the "Someone to Run For" campaign—running for the children of Sunrise in the 2026 Tel Aviv Night Run! This initiative, which has been unique and exclusive to Sunrise for 15 (!) years, is an incredible opportunity to run for a noble cause and make a real difference in how these children cope with a severe, life-threatening illness, through a routine of joy, emotional relief, and positive experiences. The children of Sunrise battling cancer didn't choose this fight, but they wake up to it every morning.
