Just a Second

For almost three years, an entire generation of young Israelis has been living between everyday life and repeated rounds of reserve duty. Studies are interrupted, careers are put on hold, and even committing to a job can be difficult — because no one knows when the next call-up will come. At Just a Second, we decided that employing reservists would be an integral part of what we do — not a side project, but a core part of our model. Reservists work with us on the selective deconstruction of apartments before demolition, rescuing and collecting items, woodworking, repair and upcycling — transforming what already exists into something with new value and purpose. Your donation enables us to employ more reservists, providing them with paid work and a supportive environment for meaningful work, creativity and renewal. And the impact continues: the profits from our activities are donated to support combat soldiers and reservists, helping fund programs that provide them with care and support. In this way, every contribution creates a double impact: it enables us to provide meaningful work and a supportive environment for more reservists, while the value they create goes on to support other soldiers and reservists.
