Harris brothers run with SHEKEL Jerusalem Marathon

Over fifteen years ago a young adult with autism opened Yoni’s mind to the world that he was living. Ever since Yoni has been honoured to support and learn from children, teenagers and adults with special needs (and special abilities) from Manchester, London, New York, and Jerusalem. Shekel have taken upon themselves to support the special needs community in Jerusalem by creating jobs and allowing the development of every individuals independence. SHEKEL’s community housing program constitutes Israel's most extensive community housing network for people with disabilities. Operating a broad range of housing options, that span more than 140 housing units, SHEKEL’s ‘living as part of the community’ housing program, serves over 400 residents with wide-ranging needs and abilities, from all sectors of Israeli society, including religious and secular Jews and Arabs. Ever since Yoni has been undertaking the mission of enhancing the development and independence of people with special needs, Benji has volunteered along side his brother Yoni as he sees the unique and life changing work Yoni does, ESPECIALLY with shekel . Yoni and Benji are running 22 km to support the life changing work shekel do .
