Our Shnat Sherut combines the worlds of a volunteer service year and a pre-military "Mechina". It connects community service with learning aimed at broadening horizons and building a foundation for understanding the surrounding society. The commune operates with financial independence, leaving plenty of room for initiative and the development of volunteer projects. The service year operates in two tracks: an urban-educational track in northern cities, and a settlement track based in kibbutzim near the Gaza envelope. We invest significant resources into running this year providing close guidance from counselors, high-quality lecturers, trips, seminars, and more.
