Feed My Neighbor
By Amutat Kaima
An intergenerational response to hunger
Donors: 32
The pandemic, which greatly interrupted food-supply chain issues, and the events of October 7, which demonstrated the vulnerability of Israel’s agricultural sector, have exacerbated food insecurity with a disproportionate impact on those already hovering at or below the poverty line.
Our Jewish traditions are explicit in commanding we feed the hungry. Today, more than ever, it is essential that we increase our weekly donations to address hunger and food insecurity in our community.
Please support Kaima’s “Feed My Neighbor” program to provide the hungry with fresh produce, grown without pesticides by Kaima’s young farmers. Donations are directed to a number of populations including: • Holocaust survivors • Women facing sexual abuse and serious financial challenge • Local families identified by welfare authorities as being in extreme need • NGOs assisting high-risk populations, such as the unemployed, the critically ill, and single-parent households • Local food pantries and community cooking programs • Synagogue and church communities
Your support helps underwrite the costs related to planting, cultivating, harvesting, purchasing supplemental items from other CSA farms to create a nutritionally balanced basket, and delivery.
Thank you for taking part in this humanitarian initiative!
