Dear donors and partners, It may seem as if young people don’t need help… They study via Zoom, they are independent and appear to behave normally. However, the reality indicates that tens of thousands of teenagers and young adults experience a mental health crisis due to COVID-19 and its circumstances. Schools are closed, physical distance is required, social interactions and a familiar, stable daily-routine are missing. These factors are affecting the mental wellbeing of young people, who are more likely to experience depression, anxiety and eating disorders. The struggle is even greater for youth coming from families who marginalized, and therefore cannot afford psychological treatment. As a response, Enosh – The Israeli Mental Health Association is working to establish e-headspace – a digital support, consultation and treatment platform, providing online professional therapy ("from home") to Israeli youth aged 12-25 nationwide, free of physical limitations or the need of arriving to the clinic. e-headspace is based on the Australian/global headspace model of evidence-based therapy centers, providing early clinical intervention treatment as a "one-stop-shop" to young people facing mental health challenges in a youth-friendly environment.
