Israel Run 2021 for the House of Wheels

My name is Shai Dahan, and I decided to set myself an extraordinary physical and social challenge: To run for 560 km in the purpose of raising funds for social inclusion of young people with disabilities. In April 2018, in honor of the 70 years of Independence of the State of Israel, I was the first person to complete the "Israel Run" - A run North to South through the country, from Kiryat Shmona to Eilat, for 70 km a day, over eight consecutive days. This year I will repeat the challenge in the "Israel Run 2021", this time with the purpose to raise funds for the "House of Wheels". The House of Wheels is a national NGO devoted to children and adults with physical disabilities. The organization has six regional houses from the north to the south of the country, and it serves as a "second home" for hundreds of participants and volunteers from all walks of Israeli society. I invite you to participate and donate, each according to his/her ability. I set the goal to raise 100,000 NIS, and all the funds will be donated to the House of Wheels for the benefit of the national "Rolling Forward Leadership Program". Also, feel free to join me for a run, at whatever point you choose and for whatever distance you like. For details regarding logistics and the running route and other logistical details see below. More details about the run The run will take place April 7-14, 2021, between the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day and the eve of Independence Day. This is a week symbolizing remembrance and appreciation, marking two dates of great importance to the state and its citizens. Each running day covers about 73 km, starting at 6:30am and ending in the afternoon (about 7-9 hours a day). The route is as follows: Kiryat Shmona — Masad — Yokneam — Hadera — Tel Aviv — Latrun — Even Sapir — Lachish — Beer Sheva — Mitzpe Ramon — Shitim — Eilat. The end of the run will take place at the ink flag monument in Eilat on the eve of Independence Day, shortly before the ceremonial torches are lit! The run is mostly based on road running (on the sidewalks), paths adjacent to the road and hiking trails. A logistics vehicle will accompany the runners throughout the day.
