The Chaim Eliezer Kollel for Dayanut (Post -Rabbinic Qualification) The Chaim Eliezer Kollel for Dayanut at the Steinsaltz Yeshiva was established to address and resolve critical social issues currently challenging our people. These issues include: conversion, marriage, and the plight of women who are unable to receive a “gett” (divorce). At the Kollel for Dayanut, we train scholars to apply our compassionate and sensitive halakhic approach and to share our commitment to all Jews, regardless of their background. The Kollel’s curriculum, developed by Rabbi Steinsaltz, includes both the classical study of Talmud as well as participation in timely halakhic discussion. Students are required to draft responses to cases now being considered in rabbinic courts, resulting in their active contribution to practical, contemporary discussions of these halakhic issues.
