October 7th Massacre: "First-aid Trauma Intervention Treatment" PROJECT for Israeli Security and Rescue Forces The Hamas massacre of 7 October was the deadliest most horrific barbarism day for Jews since the Holocaust, a day that Israeli officials have compared to 9/11. On that morning, some 2,500 Hamas terrorists burst through the border with Gaza and attacked IDF bases and ravaged more than 20 Israeli communities. More than 1,300 people were killed and 248 others taken hostage. 300,000 IDF reservists were called up to fight. About the project: The Israeli Protective Partnership decided to undertake a groundbreaking project to provide a unique First-aid Trauma Intervention Treatment to the security and rescue forces who experienced trauma. Target audience: IDF Reservists, ZAKA volunteers (who are in charge of identifying and collecting the dead bodies), policemen, emergency squads, MDA ambulance and fire brigade services. The therapeutic protocol combines advanced proven techniques for trauma, including EMDR (scientifically proven to be effective for the treatment of trauma, approved by the World Health Organization and other international bodies), and other release techniques. - It’s an intensive intervention given over the course of a whole day. - It takes place in a serene environment, nestled within a private villa surrounded by a beautiful garden. The therapeutic protocol was developed by Dr. Roni Simmons: - Senior clinical psychologist, - Expert in post-trauma treatment with over 30 years of experience in the Prime Minister's Office and the security forces. - Dr. Simmons serves as the chief psychologist of the Israel Protective Partnership. Testimonials from participants: “I am a new person, Thank god.” "What a relief, the traumatic event I experienced suddenly took on different proportions. For the first time in my life, thanks to your treatment, I can recall the event without being shocked and without crying. I finally sleep through the night. Also during the day, when the horrified events come up in my head I apply the method and tools. It incredibly helps me. Thanks again for everything."  Moshe Dickstein, Commander of Zaka, Beer Sheva station. “It's life-changing” - Niv -fighter from the emergency squad. "Thanks to your care, I slept well last night. The best, long, continuous sleep I've experienced since the difficult Shabbat (7.10). I have no words to thank the association and the professional team that accompanied this day.
