IGY - Israel LGBTQ+ Youth

IGY, the Israeli LGBTQ+ youth and young adults’ organization, is committed to creating a positive future for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults in Israel by combating discrimination and fostering supportive, empowering, and safe spaces. In Israel, LGBTQ+ individuals face challenges such as discrimination, violence, and social alienation. As a result, many engage in at-risk behaviors or struggle with mental distress, finding it difficult to envision a future in Israel and realize their full potential. Reaching 45,000 youth, teachers, parents and students IGY serves as an anchor and source of support for queer youth and young adults, working to reduce loneliness and increase their sense of self-worth and belonging. IGY operates safe spaces all around Israel, including unique activity for Orthodox, Arab and Haredi youth, leadership programs, a research center, workshop center and the first ever vocational college for LGBTQ young adults at-risk.
