LEAD | Discovering Leadership LEAD was established in 1999 with a clear mission: to identify, train, and guide Israel's next generation of leaders. Our leadership development program is globally recognized and highly acclaimed both in Israel and internationally. Each year, we select approximately 120 exceptional young people from among 8,000 applicants representing every region of Israel and all sectors of society. Our comprehensive selection process allows us to discover leadership potential in Israeli youth from diverse backgrounds and communities. Selected candidates are invited to join our extraordinary two-year training program, enabling them to discover and develop their personal leadership capabilities. Following the initial training, graduates are invited to participate in our alumni program, which supports them until the age of 40. We believe that leadership is learned through action. Therefore, LEAD ambassadors don't just study - they act across multiple spheres: participating in a series of national conferences and workshops, working in regional teams, and initiating social projects aimed at benefiting society and communities, thereby learning through doing and experiencing. Our social projects are long-term endeavors requiring ambassadors to undertake complex processes of needs assessment, identifying challenges, and volunteer recruitment. Through tackling real challenges, participants discover authentic leadership - the ability to drive meaningful change even in difficult circumstances.
