LEAD – Shaping Israel's Future Leaders For 25 years, LEAD - Israel Youth Leadership Development has been identifying, training, and mentoring Israel's next generation of leaders. Established in 1999 to address Israel's growing leadership crisis, LEAD has developed a globally recognized leadership cultivation model that has been replicated beyond Israel's borders. A Unique Leadership Journey: Each year, from among 6,000 applicants representing all regions and sectors of Israeli society, 120 exceptional youth are selected for our transformative two-year program. Participants receive a full scholarship, making the program accessible to talented individuals regardless of financial background. Leadership Through Action: At LEAD, we believe that true leadership is developed through hands-on experience and real-world impact. Our comprehensive model operates through three parallel tracks: - National conventions and workshops with leading experts - Regional teamwork activities - Creation and implementation of authentic social initiatives To date, our model has yielded over 800 social initiatives, mobilizing tens of thousands of Israelis in meaningful volunteer opportunities and creating positive change across diverse sectors of Israeli society. Long-term Investment: Our ambassadors experientially practice valuable leadership skills including creative and futuristic thinking, facilitating change, teamwork, and more. This approach combines developing a "leadership identity" with acquiring cutting-edge leadership tools, while raising social awareness and demanding high moral standards. Upon completion of the initial program, participants are invited to join our alumni network, which provides continued support and development opportunities until age 40, creating a powerful social-professional network with national influence.
