Holocaust Survivors - Emotional Distress Hotline

Providing 24/7 anonymous emotional support free of charge to Holocaust Survivors, their families & care-givers. To enable the Holocaust survivors and their family members to share their thoughts, feelings and fears in complete anonymity and confidentiality, in an atmosphere of trust. To listen to the survivors’ need to share their traumatic memories of the past, which intensify as time goes by. To assist family members to support Holocaust survivors and cope with the possible adverse effects on family resilience. To identify signs of risk and distress (including risk of suicide) and refer clients in need of further therapy and counseling to relevant authorities for professional help. To provide volunteers with comprehensive inductions, training and ongoing support and thus enable them to offer emotional and social support to Holocaust survivors and their family members.
