ERAN – Emotional First Aid by Telephone & Internet (Israel) ERAN is a lifesaving volunteer organization that provides mental health first-aid to all residents of Israel in emotional distress, by telephone 1201 and online via chat & WhatsApp, free of charge, anonymously and confidentially. A person in crisis, mental distress, or contemplating suicide, will find in ERAN a reassuring ear. ERAN's mission is to "be there" for all people in need 24 hours a day all year round. ERAN operates as a central national body in the field of primary Hotline for Emotional First Aid 24/7, takes part in national and international projects in the field of mental health, well-being, and national resilience. The range of referrals to the ERAN's hotlines is wide and includes dealing with trauma, depression, loneliness, Boycott, bullying and ostracism, financial hardship, adolescent crises, violence, abuse, eating disorders, self-image and sexual identity, difficulty raising children, anxiety, Holocaust survivors, Soldiers in active military service and more.
