The Ghetto Fighters’ House is the world’s first Holocaust Museum and the only museum that was established by Holocaust survivors, among them survivors of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Since its inception, the "House" took a leading role in Holocaust education and has served as a source of inspiration for learners of all ages.
Our mission, based on the founders' vision, is to tell the story of the Holocaust, focusing on the triumph of the human spirit, Jewish resistance in all its forms; moral choices, and the establishment of meaningful lives, both individually and collectively, in the State of Israel. Their vision is as relevant today as ever.
Three educational pillars guide our work: Holocaust Remembrance. A warning from the past. Inspiration towards a better future.
As we get closer to Holocaust Remembrance Day, and in order to fill our galleries with life as before and create new virtual opportunities, we invite you to become a partner and join our growing community. By making a special contribution you will provide vital support for our exhibitions, research, and educational activities, and help us pass the torch of Holocaust Memory on to future generations.
