Arabic Language and Culture Festival

Want to become a co-producer of the very first Jerusalem festival for Arabic language and culture? Donate 150nis or more via this crowdfunding link to be acknowledged as co-producer of the public festival to be held at the Jerusalem First Station on 23 and 24 June 2022! Festival highlights include a special performance by System Ali Band, a beginners Dabka dance class, a play by the very first Bedouin theatre group – Al-Mihbash, a first screening of the film Don Juan al-Galeel before a non-Arab audience, intriguing lectures and workshops on language, and a sample of spoken Arabic classes from top educators and institutes in Jerusalem. The festival bookfair will offer a wide selection of Arabic books, dictionaries, teaching aids, and information on upcoming courses. Our festival – with you as a co-producer - brings together cultural connoisseurs and enthusiasts from across the region; from all proficiency levels, Arabic language teachers, publishers, artists and creators, all under a common banner of celebrating Arabic culture and making the language more accessible to all Jerusalemites. Coproducers will receive special mention at the event! The event is an initiative of the Association for the Promotion of Arabic Language and Teaching in Israel. هل تريد أن تكون منتج مشارك لأول مهرجان للّغة العربية والثقافة في القدس؟ تبرّع ب ١٥٠ شيكل أو أكثر عبر رابط التمويل الجماعي كي يتم الاعتراف بك كمنتج مشارك للمهرجان العام الذي سوف يقام في محطة القطار الأولى في القدس يومي ٢٣ و ٢٤ حزيران ٢٠٢٢. أبرز أحداث المهرجان تشمل عرضا خاصا لفرقة سيستم عالي، درس دبكة للمبتدئين، مسرحية من قبل الفرقة المسرحية البدوية الأولى - المهباش، عرض أول لفيلم دون جوان الجليل أمام جمهور غير عربي، محاضرات وورشات عمل شيّقة حول اللغة العربية، وعيّنة من دروس اللغة العربيّة العامية من كبار المعلمين والمعاهد في القدس. كما وسيقدم معرض الكتاب في المهرجان تشكيلة واسعة من الكتب العربية، القواميس، الوسائل التعليمية ومعلومات حول الدورات التعليمية القادمة. مهرجاننا - معك كمنتج مشارك - يجمع بين خبراء الثقافة وأشخاص مفعمين بالحماسة من جميع أنحاء المنطقة؛ المبتدئين والخبراء، مدرّسي اللغة العربية، ناشرين، فنانين ومبدعين، الكل تحت شعار مشترك للاحتفال بالثقافة العربية وجعل اللغة في متناول عامة الناس. إن الحدث هو مبادرة من الجمعية لتطوير تدريس اللغة العربية في إسرائيل.
