Support Ad'ar to end the murder of women in the family!

We have launched this recent campaign in order to develop two new emergency programs, in response to the horrific rise in murder cases of women. The first, establishing a volunteer unit that will operate in Haifa and throughout Israel and will respond to emergency calls from women in danger, as well as their family members and friends, who are unable to reach the right support organizations and their stories remain a secret until they are ultimately murdered. These volunteers, who will be trained by Ad’ar, will go to the site (discretely) to assess the level of danger and will connect the person in danger with relevant social workers or therapists and relevant organizations. The volunteer will also follow up on the case to ensure the woman is safe and receiving the adequate support. The second, establishing a 24/7 hotline for professionals who are at the "frontline" of treating women, victims of domestic violence, and do not always know how to provide the woman with the right solution . The hotline will be managed by volunteer social workers and therapists who are experts in risk analysis and will help the professionals in directing the threatened women and girls to frameworks that can save their lives. These are two groundbreaking programs, which we hope will finally put an end to the plague gender-based murder in Israel.
