The Resheet Religious Public School is a unique institution which promotes full inclusion of children with a broad range of special needs within the regular classroom setting. In addition, students with special needs benefit from an individualized educational program which is tailored to their needs and which encourages their independent functioning. The school was established in 2001 by the Resheet School Non-Profit Organization and views its mission through the lens of a unique, one-of-a-kind educational model which promotes respect and understanding for those who are different; helps change paradigms; and removes mental, educational and social obstacles in relating to the “other”. The Resheet School Non-Profit Organization provides the school with additional personnel, educational curricula tailored to classroom and group settings, additional school trips, work centers, agricultural projects as well as other activities. Israel’s Ministry of Education recently approved the Resheet School to be one of four officially recognized “inclusion” schools throughout Israel for the 2018-2019 school year. The Resheet School is a leading example of the inclusion method within the Israeli school system.
