Kehilat Talpiot HaChadashah (Beit Boyer) was founded in 1995 and since then has been functioning under the rabbinical guidance of Rabbi Michael Melchior, former MK and Chief Rabbi of Norway. Beit Boyer is a modern-orthodox shul in Talpiot, Jerusalem, that offers Shabbat, holiday, high-holiday and daily member-led prayer services as well as inspirational Torah-study classes, lecture series, children’s programs, holiday events, outreach activities, tzedaka projects and more. All of our programs are open to everyone. Some are conducted in collaboration with other synagogues and social organizations in the neighborhood and beyond. At Beit Boyer women participate fully in the management of the shul, are among the speakers who give Divrei Torah on Shabbat and they teach - all within a halachic framework. Our mix of native Israelis and both new and veteran immigrants (of all age groups) helps newcomers quickly feel at home and become adjusted to their new lives in Israel. Inspired by the drive to promote Ahavat Yisrael, our congregation engages in community-wide chessed initiatives such as supporting local charities and preparing meals for IDF lone soldiers. Beit Boyer is welcoming to all.
