Thousands of women and men have conversations with trauma every day. Sometimes trauma doesn’t wait for a trigger. It simply lives inside us. It’s part of us. It’s there in the morning, when we’re getting ready for work, drinking our coffee, and during our moments of joy. Trauma makes its way in and asks for some more space. More space for pain, for destruction, and for guilt. It takes spaces of joy, love, and security. From the outside, you can't always see it. From the outside, you can't always feel it. But it's there. All the time. And you can feel so alone in it. We are here. We see YOU. The crisis center - HRCC handles over 8000 inquiries every year and works 24/7 to support victims, support those close to them, and prevent the next assault. Over a third of our 80 volunteers have survived assault, and today they are the ones that see the others in need. Help us continue to be the place that sees those that need us.
