Chabad of Talbiya- Mamilla/Friendship Circle Central Jerusalem Brings back the Light to N&S Israel

For over 15 years, Chabad of Talbiya-Mamila has offered a wide range of creative community programs. Now, in response to the war, we have expanded our operations to support families forced to relocate to Jerusalem from the North and South.  With a team of 200+ volunteers, we have responded to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of more than 350 evacuated families. Every program is infused with dignity and compassion. • The Boutique: provides free-of-charge new and gently-used clothing, toys, and essentials to displaced families. An average of 30 families visit daily. • Monday Kindergarten: A 2-hour “fun” group therapy session with 20-40 children  • Tuesday Entertainment: A weekly children's program, including entertainment, treats, and hot dinner. Hundreds of children and their families attend weekly. • Challah Bake honoring a family of a Hostage: 50-100 women from Jerusalem, the North, and the South join in song and prayer to make challah, recite the bracha, and share blessings and hope with each other  • Shabbat Meals: 3-course dinners for families who don’t have a kitchen of their own. 300 meals each Shabbos.  • Circle within the Circle: Expanding our Friendship Circle (which caters to youth with special needs) to include the youth of evacuated families (who come with their unique challenges). • Medical & Housing Liason: Helping transplanted families access local medical expertise, and housing needs.
