The Equalizer for Israeli children evacuated from their homes

In response to the unprecedented situation in Israel following the horrific events of October 7th, The Equalizer has stepped up to do what it does best: establish oour special social-sports teams, offering children who were directly hit by the war a stable, supportive and empowering framework, at a time most needed. The teams are active in the hotels and evacuation centers across the country. In the last few weeks some of the communities are going back to their homes, and The Equalizer teams go back with them, continuing the activity of the teams in the original towns, and taking a key role in the rehabilitation process of the communities. Each team combines weekly sport sessions (by a professional coach) with weekly social sessions (by an educational tutor). The participants receive personal uniform kit and team equipment for the sessions. In addition each team participates in three regional tournaments including transportation, facilities and all production costs. 45 teams are already active, impacting over 700 boys & girls. The activity is given for free, and hence cost us $8,000 per team, for a full year of operation. We have the experience and the knowledge to provide a critical supportive framework to hundreds of children, but we need your support to continue doing it. Since October 7th sport has been one of the most effective tools in supporting and empowering the children in such difficult times. We are committed to continue our work with the children this year and in the years to come.
