Lone Soldier's Clubhouse in Memory of Eli Kay Z"l

The Reut Program for Lone Soldiers was established in 2010 for the purpose of offering Lone Soldiers a warm and embracing home during their service in the IDF. The Reut Program provides these highly motivated young adults who leave their homes, families, and friends in order to draft to the IDF with an extensive range of services and support which allows them to devote themselves to their IDF service and their contribution to Israel and the Jewish people.
They come from all around the world and in absence of family and friends, they integrate into a community of Lone Soldiers who support one the other. When they return home from their arduous service and especially in the last four months, they look forward to just mellowing out, relaxing, and being with their friends. This awareness of the need for an appropriate place to "hang out" has led us to make plans to revamp and renovate their clubhouse facilities.
Eli Kay Z"L was a Lone Soldier from South Africa who joined the Reut Program in 2017 and lived here until 2019 during his IDF Service in The Paratrooper Brigade. Eli was a born leader and always encouraged and inspired activities that brought the Lone Soldiers together so that they could offer mutual support for everyone. Eli was murdered by a terrorist in November 2021 whose bullets put an end to Eli's aspirations and ambitions. We therefore see it to be very appropriate to dedicate this clubhouse to Eli's memory. It fits his remembrance well.
