Since October 7th, 2023, over 4,000 Egoz combatants in regular service and reserve, have been called to defend our country. Leaving their homes and families behind, they stood up courageously to protect the nation.
Over 500 Egoz combatants have been injured in combat through the years, with 300 of them wounded during the "Iron Swords" battles alone. These are only the officially recognized casualties. However, the toll of being on the front lines can sometimes be invisible, leaving deep emotional scars.
Although most reservists have returned from the battles, integrating back into the new reality can be a challenge, especially for those injured.
This is where the Egoz Foundation comes in. We aim to provide a warm and supportive home for all Egoz unit veterans, identify those needing assistance, understand their unique needs, and provide them with the necessary support. We believe every veteran deserves a safe, supportive environment to heal and recover.
Join us in our mission to help these brave combatants who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.
Combat Processing Journeys
Egoz unit combatants operate together in teams, going together through life-dandering combats. We understand their need for comprehensive support and believe every team deserves a joint processing process.
The foundation works to provide 3 days of therapy, team building, and collaborative work to prevent or even alleviate future post-trauma. For some, we offer a longer process to cope with loss and trauma. Together, we are indeed stronger.
Treatment and Rehabilitation
Our foundation offers support to physically injured soldiers and those dealing with trauma and post-trauma. We provide private and group therapies, scholarships for studies in recovery, and work with military and medical authorities to ensure top-notch treatment.
We provide shared living in Tel Aviv for soldiers who were injured and live far from hospitals and rehab centers. Enabling them to live together on their recovery, with full support from us, including education, employment, gym memberships, and more.
Full Support
Our brave soldiers have fought tirelessly for our safety and freedom. It's time to give back to them. With your help, we can provide them with the resources they need to heal, rebuild, and thrive.
We're committed to supporting our veterans throughout their lives, not only during their official rehabilitation time. Therefore, we provide growth opportunities in a range of activities. Including surfing and sailing programs accompanied by therapists, study scholarships, combat processing journeys abroad, and the "Big Brother" project - pairing veteran injured soldiers with young injured soldiers (Egoz for Egoz). We also provide guidance for legal, financial, medical, and bureaucratic matters and above all, a strong and wide alumni network.
With your donation, we can continue to strengthen our soldiers both physically and mentally. Join us in showing our soldiers that their sacrifices and struggles have not gone unnoticed. Your support can make a difference.
With your help, we can help them return home.
About Us:
Egoz Foundation—The home for Egoz veterans, was established after the Yom Kippur War by Egoz veterans and bereaved families who volunteered their skills and spare time.
Together, we work towards our primary goals of nurturing the unit, its combatants, and veterans and commemorating those who have fallen.
Our foundation is registered with the Associations Registry and operates under strict criteria for proper management, supervised by an audit and review committee, an accountant, and a lawyer. We are also recognized for tax purposes under section 46.
