30,000 will leave the Haredi community in the next decade. Where will they go? For over 30 years Hillel has been the first place they turn to. At Hillel, Yotzim find a home, a community, and the skills and support to bridge gaps and integrate fully into Israeli society. At Hillel Centers across the country, professional staff and over 1,700 volunteers assist Yotzim as they move forward in all aspects of life, including housing security, education, employment, community building, and military service. They help newcomers acclimate to a social and cultural reality drastically different from what they have known. Many arrive without core education or a supportive family. It’s our responsibility to help them start their new lives on an equal footing. In recent years, the number of young adults leaving Haredi communities has significantly increased, a trend that has intensified even more in the aftermath of October 7th. Yotzim need a Center that can accommodate not only those who are turning to us now, but also those who will turn to us over the next decade. Help us establish a national Center that answers the question: Where will they go?
