The Revolution Orchestra: 2026-2027 Season – An Invitation to Partner in Original, Interdisciplinary Israeli CreationThe Revolution Orchestra, founded and led by composer Zohar Sharon and conductor Roy Oppenheim, PhD, is a powerhouse of original, interdisciplinary musical creation that is disrupting and transforming how we experience culture in Israel. Since its inception in 2004, the work they bring to the stage - in collaboration with choreographers, directors, video artists, and other creators - redefines the traditional orchestral format, operating as a groundbreaking artistic incubator. We move from the source to the original. We do not merely play music - we create interdisciplinary productions that fuse live orchestral music, cinema, theater, and movement on a single stage, creating moving movements on stage. Why Your Support is Critical and EssentialThe Revolution Orchestra is a dynamic, independent organization that sustains most of its ongoing operations through the loyal backing of tens of thousands of ticket buyers and subscribers each year. However, developing a new artistic format is a prolonged and intricate process that takes place within a creative laboratory model. Every new production requires one to three years of research, development, technological and video-art synchronization, and commissioning original works from emerging composers and young artists. Your partnership enables us to continue leading across two primary impact tracks: • The Artistic Innovation Incubator: Development budgets, rehearsal time, and advanced creation tools provided directly to the team of Israeli composers and stage artists behind the productions. • Expanding Artistic and Educational Impact: Making our productions accessible to the general public, and scaling our educational programs for youth and diverse audiences across the country. What We Are Developing and Staging in the 2026-2027 SeasonIn the coming year, we are bringing three original productions to the stage that celebrate three cultural giants—Cohen. Herrmann. Simon: • HINENI – Aya Korem and The Revolution Orchestra sing Leonard Cohen. • PSYCHO – The Revolution Orchestra in a multidisciplinary dialogue with the cinematic masterpiece. • STILL CRAZY – Red Band and The Revolution Orchestra sing Paul Simon. Alongside our acclaimed flagship productions returning to the stage in 2026: • The Passion of Monty Python – A tempestuous musical circus of humor, madness, and British charm starring Ben Perry (created in collaboration with and by the blessing of the original British Monty Python comedy troupe). • Moods – Our most innovative production, which has garnered extensive international acclaim: a movement-driven creation where the orchestra musicians themselves move across the stage, physically embodying the shifting moods of the music. Data-Driven Social Impact: The "I Shall Speak to You" ProgramOur work does not stop in the concert halls. The Revolution Orchestra’s original creation, "I Shall Speak to You," which was crowned the most moving cultural event of the year, has grown into a comprehensive national educational program in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The program connects Jewish, Arab, and Druze youth through second-language studies, literature, and music, centered around Hebrew and Arabic love songs by cultural giants such as Bialik, the Rahabani Brothers, Rachel Shapira, and Farid al-Atrash. • Results on the Ground: In the past academic year, over 900 students from 29 different schools across the country participated in the program, culminating in a joint performance presented, among other venues, at the President's Residence. • The Next Generation on Stage: As part of our educational and social vision, 25 young high-school musicians from conservatories in Nazareth and Tel Aviv perform live on stage alongside the orchestra's musicians.
