G is a sensitive and smart young men who always spreads positivity and kindness to the world around him. He served as a combat soldier at the Special Unit ‘Egoz,’ fought in the war in Gaza, lost brothers-in-arms, and sustained injuries himself. Until then, he was a sociable and loveable child and teenager, curious and entrepreneur, surrounded by friends, a natural leader, and a happy person.     The trauma he endured deeply injured his soul, leaving him far from the happy and optimistic person he once was. He is unable to hold to a workplace or study program. His social connections have suffered. He experiences severe mental health crises that prevent him from returning to everyday life. His teammates, commanders, friends, and family are doing their best to assist him. G. is recognized by the Israeli Ministry of Defense as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He has received treatment in psychiatric hospitals and therapeutic programs. Hoping to overcome his difficulties and heal he has even sought rest and peace in an alternative medicine program abroad. G has faced an acute mental crisis in a foreign country on the other side of the world. His condition has made it impossible for him to return home for the treatment he needs. While abroad, across the globe, he endured a severe mental breakdown. His friends and family realized that he might be injured, arrested, or even damage himself. They understood that bringing him back home as fast as possible was needed.  Unfortunately, while the Ministry of Defense supports his treatment in Israel, they cannot fund or facilitate his rescue from abroad. Though G. was covered by travel insurance, no insurer covers such a mental crisis rescue. A MAGNUS intervention team specializing in mental health crisis rescues has been deployed to bring G safely back home for further treatment. The cost of this complicated and challenging rescue operation is exceptionally high. As of now, it is estimated to need 150,000 ILS (about $40,000). G.’s family and friends and Friends of Egoz NGO are assisting the best they can. But they need your help. We need your contribution. Any amount will be gratefully appreciated.  G. was there for all of us on the battleground. Now is the time for us to show our appreciation and support.  G stood by his people and friends in their time of crisis. Now, it’s our turn to support him in his time of need. Your contribution will be a heartfelt gesture of support to G and his family during this challenging time.
