The Launch of Campaign 2025 The Nigun HaLev (Melody of the Heart) community is reaching out to its congregation members and friends in Israel and abroad, seeking financial support for its blessed work, which this year is touching wider circles than ever before. Since October 7th, marking the start of the Haravot Barzel (Swords of Iron) war, we have sought a cultural response - Israeli, rooted in Zionism, to soothe so many broken hearts and to inspire hope for change and creation instead of despair and pain. Nigun HaLev serves as a spiritual-cultural-communal home to hundreds in and around Emek Yizrael (the Jezreel Valley.( Supporting Nigun HaLev means partnering with like-minded people in healing the anguish and creating recovery, revival, and resilience. What will we do with your generous support? We pledge to: • Promote multiculturism and a shared purpose with our Arab neighbors in the valley. • Lead various meetings in the Jezreel Valley and its surroundings to foster communication, tolerance, and understanding. • Increase our emotional and tangible support for the evacuees temporarily living among us in the region. • Enlarge our existing support for the families of reserve soldiers and security forces. • Accompany families and individuals in times of celebration and tragedy alike. • Engage children in Israeli Judaism through song and melody. • Promote partnerships and support for the region's LGBTQ community. • Work to advocate and advance Israel's democratic and Jewish vision and values. • Operate our educational-musical youth ensemble ("Nigunaleh") that will perform and bring joy to audiences in nursing homes and special needs facilities. • Conduct learning and enrichment meetings and workshops on Jewish topics. These promises will continue to be kept and expanded, to the best of our ability, regardless of the security situation. The Nigun HaLev community lives and breathes the spirit of liberal, pluralistic Judaism thanks to public support, partnerships, and trust from the community at large. These enable us-together to continue operating in the valley, to be a home to all who choose to join us, and to give back to our beautiful Jezreel Valley in particular and to Israel in general. This support revitalizes our core values, born out of a unique kind of Israeli Judaism that actively strives for Tikun Olam (repairing the world), and is accessible to all. Reut Hammer, one of the community's founders, writes: Nigun HaLev is an island of uplifted spirit, of serenity and sanity, of love, openness, and acceptance. Especially in the past year - through difficult days of tension, insecurity, inconceivable acts of cruelty, hostages, evacuees, wounded and fallen soldiers - Nigun HaLev's Kabbalat Shabbat is a place where the heart and the soul find comfort and calm, meaning and belonging. It is Israeli Judaism at its best and an example of the love of humanity in practice. What action are we asking you to take? Every donation will be translated into communal, cultural, spiritual, and social action. Every donation, big or small, will enable us to do good in the Jezrael Valley, in Israel and, by extension, the world. Every donation is a partnership in singing and spreading the melody of the heart.
