The trauma of October 7th exposed deep wounds across Israeli society, but for at-risk youth and young adults in crisis, the terror and fear have become a paralyzing daily reality. Their solitude amplifies their pain - they have no shoulder to lean on, no one to listen, no safe space to process these devastating experiences. Memories and fears echo in empty rooms, and the need for professional emotional support has become critical. Without immediate professional intervention, this trauma risks leaving permanent emotional scars. In this reality, Otot stands at the frontline. With more than four decades of expertise in supporting and treating youth and young adults from across Israeli society – Jews, Arabs, LGBTQ+, and individuals from all backgrounds – we are prepared for this complex mission. While addressing the immediate crisis, our therapeutic programs emphasize long-term rehabilitation that lays the foundation for a brighter future. Our work is guided by three core principles: building self-confidence, instilling hope, and providing tools for community integration.
