Ascent's Campaign To Give Them A JOYOUS &MEANINGFUL PASSOVER

CAN YOU CELEBRATE PASSOVER WITHOUT MATZAH? The holy Kabbalistic Zohar (written down near Tsfat 2000 years ago) teaches us that matzah eaten on Passover has an incredible power to not just heal us, but to instill in each of us true belief in G-d for our entire lives. So integral is Matzah to celebrating Passover that Jewish law requires everyone to donate to a communal fund to buy flour to make Matzah for those who cannot afford it. At Ascent we are experts at knowing what type of Matzah each person in the wider Ascent community needs. Receiving a single special hand-made matzah awakens thousands of IDF soldiers to ask what is so important about this matzah that someone is taking the time and an effort to give it to me? Students and young couples will take their matzah and decide to make or join a real Passover Seder, maybe for the first time. When a family gets 3 special hand-made matzahs for their seder thousands of children will become enthused, bursting at the seams to celebrate this special holiday to the hilt. Matzah alone is not enough for many immigrants and families of soldiers serving in the IDF. HOW WILL THEY BE ABLE TO CELEBRATE FREEDOM AT THE SEDER WHEN THEY ARE HUNGRY? For them we add wine, chicken, potatoes, and other necessities to be able to joyfully celebrate. What about English speaking students in Israel? Many do not know what Passover is! MATZAH ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH. THEY NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN ASCENT’S HIGHLY SUBSIDIZED WEEK LONG PASSOVER RETREAT to discover how the Jewish people were freed from Egyptian enslavement and what freedom really means. They need to rejoin the People of Israel. We need to give away thousands of dollars of matzah.
