"Just Smile" is an Israeli nonprofit organization founded in 2022 by Maor Wolf and his friend Benny Spierer, two teenagers from Jerusalem, in memory of Ronit Wolf — Maor's older sister, who died by suicide.
The organization's goal is to fund psychological treatments to individuals who are dealing with suicidal thoughts and cannot afford the high cost of therapy, as well as to raise public awareness of mental health and promote open conversation on the subject.
The idea for the organization was born when Maor realized how critical it is to receive professional support in difficult moments — moments when the line between life and death is thin — and he wanted to prevent the next suicide case.
As part of its awareness activities, the organization has held conferences and public events, featuring artists such as Avichai Hollander, Avraham Tal, Raviv Kaner and Liran Danino.
This is a deeply moving and inspiring initiative, born out of profound personal pain, that has become a real force in the mental health movement in Israel.
