Beit Almog is a shomer shabbat lone soldier home in Modiin that helps lone soldiers from abroad and from the Haredi sector who have been cut off from their families and have nowhere else to go. Beit Almog provides them with a warm home, a room to call their own, support and guidance throughout their army service and continued support after their release from the army. Beit Almog helps soldiers finish their basic education and go on to higher education, giving them all the emotional support, skills and tools they need to reintegrate into Israeli society successfully.
Beit Almog currently operates two rented homes in Modiin, one for men and one for women. We are opening a third home in January 2021.
There are also plans to build a more permanent modern complex to accommodate 108 lone soldiers on 1.5 acres of land the city is . Funds are needed to build the fully equipped complex and provide all the services and support lone soldiers desperately need.
Without Beit Almog, these lone soldiers would be on their own during their service and have no where to go after their release. They are literally alone in the world. By providing them with the love and support they need and deserve, Beit Almog is changing the future of lone soldiers who sacrificed everything to serve their country.
